Why You Need To Run “Unplugged”

I highly recommend you try running with

  • No watch
  • No music
  • No planned distance

It will be just you, your thoughts, and the sound of your breathing and shoes hitting the pavement.

And while you may not experience a monumental shift in mindset or stumble upon life-altering revelations, the practice of running “unplugged” is a great opportunity for introspection.

Because, honestly, when was the last time you did deep, introspective thinking? For most of us, it’s been a while.

And while music is great, it’s also a distraction.

Try running without music next time. See where your mind wanders.
